On April 18, 2023, at around 3:00 pm, the police received a 911 call reporting a reckless driver. Officers quickly responded to the location and found the vehicle in Jamestown. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Alameda.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and found to be in possession of two loaded handguns, burglary tools, and methamphetamine. The suspect’s reckless driving behavior posed a danger to other drivers on the road, and their possession of dangerous weapons and illegal drugs further compounded the seriousness of the situation.
The police department reminds the public that stealing a vehicle is a serious offense that can have severe consequences. Driving a stolen vehicle recklessly only increases the likelihood of an accident and puts other drivers on the road in danger. The possession of illegal firearms and drugs also carries serious legal implications.
