“On Thursday, April 27th, 2023, at about 11:40 PM, Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the report of a shooting in the 17500 block of Old Summit Rd., Los Gatos (Santa Cruz County). Deputies learned the victim sustained life threatening injuries and is receiving ongoing treatment at a hospital.
The Deputies arrived at the scene of the shooting and took the suspect, John Joseph (26 years old), into custody for attempted homicide. The Sheriff’s Office is confident this was an isolated incident and there is not an ongoing threat to the community.
This is an active investigation and there is no more information that can be released at this time.
