Clovis Police Launch Investigation into Shooting at Sierra Vista Mall

Authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Sierra Vista Mall on Saturday, May 13th. Multiple 911 calls were received by the communications center around 9 PM, reporting the incident in the parking lot near the southeast section of the mall, adjacent to K1 Speed.
According to a press release by the Clovis Police Department, law enforcement officers responded to the reports and found an adult male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim received medical treatment and was subsequently released from the hospital.
The case has been handed over to the Special Enforcement Team (SET) Detectives, who are reviewing surveillance footage from the area and conducting interviews with witnesses. The investigators are focused on identifying the three suspects involved in the incident. All three suspects were seen wearing hoodies and masks, making it challenging to provide further physical descriptions.
Preliminary information reveals that a handgun was used during the shooting. Additionally, a vehicle collision occurred in the mall’s parking lot, which is also being investigated for any potential connection to the shooting, police said.
SET Detectives have determined that the three suspects were present at the mall before the shooting occurred at approximately 9 PM on Saturday, May 13th. They are urging anyone who was in the area during that time and noticed individuals matching the given description or witnessed any suspicious activity to come forward with information.
