Man Arrested in Connection with Alleged Domestic Violence Incident in Bakersfield

A Kern County man has been arrested in connection to an alleged domestic violence incident in Bakersfield.
According to a press release by the Bakersfield Police Department, authorities responded to a report on the afternoon of May 5th of a potential domestic violence incident involving an individual who was suspected to be under the influence of methamphetamine. The incident took place at a residence located on the 3700 block of Q Street.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers employed physical force. Jason Crawford, a 41-year-old resident of Bakersfield, was subsequently taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. He is currently listed in stable condition, police said.
Crawford has been arrested on multiple charges, including spousal abuse, being under the influence of a controlled substance, battery on a peace officer, and resisting an officer with violence. As per standard procedure in such cases, a use of force investigation was initiated immediately.
