Davis Police Seek Public’s Help in Indecent Exposure Investigation
The Davis Police Department is currently investigating two separate incidents of indecent exposure, and is calling on the public to come forward with any potential information or leads.
According to a press release issued by the department, the Davis Police Department received a report on the night of May 11 regarding a male individual exposing and fondling himself outside an apartment on the 2400 block of Sycamore Lane.
The female resident noticed a light-complexioned male in his late 20s, standing approximately 5-foot-8 and weighing around 150 pounds. The suspect was reported to be wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. The man had allegedly partially lowered his pants, exposing his genitals and engaging in inappropriate behavior. The resident contacted the police, and officers responded but were unable to locate the suspect.
In another incident on the afternoon of May 20, a woman walking her dog on the bike path south of Catalina Drive reportedly encountered a young man sitting on a bench. The man was described as a tan-complexioned male aged 20 to 22, standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9, with medium-length curly brown hair and an average build. The witness said that the suspect had been holding his phone in one hand and his genitals in the other.
Despite the woman’s vocal reaction, the suspect reportedly did not attempt to cover himself. The woman notified police, and officers checked the area but did not locate the man.
Authorities have yet to determine if these incidents are related to a series of previous peeping incidents reported on the 700 block of Sycamore Lane over the past several months. In response to these recent incidents, the Davis Police Department is urging residents to remain cautious and report any suspicious behavior to the police emergency line at 530-758-3600 or dial 911 for emergencies in progress.
