In a dramatic turn of events, a routine traffic stop escalated into a high-speed chase and subsequent foot pursuit, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals. The incident unfolded on May 21, 2023, when deputies from the North Patrol Division attempted to pull over a vehicle for a violation of vehicle code regulations. However, instead of complying with the authorities, the driver chose to evade them, initiating a brief but intense pursuit.
The pursuit came to an end as the suspects abandoned their vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Swift and coordinated efforts from the law enforcement officers led to the successful apprehension of both individuals without any further incident. The suspects were promptly identified as 49-year-old Lorie Fox, the driver of the vehicle, and her 39-year-old passenger, Thomas Harger.
Upon conducting a search, the deputies made startling discoveries that exposed the pair’s involvement in illicit activities. Lorie Fox was found to be carrying 20 grams of methamphetamine and a meth pipe on her person, while Thomas Harger was in possession of two loaded firearms, $1,850 in cash, 367 grams of methamphetamine, 95 grams of Fentanyl, and a digital scale.
As the legal process unfolds, Lorie Fox and Thomas Harger will face charges related to drug possession, possession of firearms, and evading arrest. Their apprehension serves as a reminder of the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and security within our communities.
