Two Arrested for Alleged Armed Carjacking of Pizza Delivery Driver in Burbank
Two men have been arrested in connection with a carjacking incident involving a pizza delivery driver..
According to a press release by the Burbank Police Department, police responded to a carjacking report on the 1500 block of North Naomi Street in Burbank on the afternoon of June 6. According to the victim, an employee of Domino’s Pizza, two men confronted him in an alley while he was delivering an order.
One of the suspects physically assaulted the victim and brandished a firearm, demanding the keys to the delivery driver’s vehicle.
Fearing for his safety, the victim complied with the suspects’ demands and handed over his keys.
The suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
Despite a search by multiple officers, the suspects could not be located at the time. Burbank Police investigators conducted a comprehensive investigation, which involved gathering surveillance video footage and collecting evidence from the area.
On June 8, investigators discovered the victim’s vehicle being driven by a man believed to be one of the suspects. The vehicle was found near the 6500 block of Radford Avenue in North Hollywood. Detectives conducted a traffic stop, arrested the driver, and later apprehended the second suspect near the 6100 block of Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood.
Following the arrests, search warrants were executed at two locations affiliated with the suspects. Investigators recovered evidence that connects the suspects to the carjacking incident in Burbank, police said.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 24-year-old Jordan Lee and 21-year-old Tracy Dobbins, both residents of North Hollywood. They have been booked on suspicion of armed carjacking, a felony offense, and are currently held in custody with a bail amount set at $100,000.
Lee and Dobbins reportedly made their first court appearance on June 12, though it is unclear whether they entered a plea.
Formal charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, police said.
