On the afternoon of July 22nd , law enforcement deputies promptly responded to reported theft at a local cosmetics business in the City of Camarillo. According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Joe Mulrooney, “witness reports played a crucial role” in identifying the perpetrators, providing the license plate number of the suspect vehicle and suspect descriptions.
The suspects, later identified as Bakersfield residents Jayme Fahy, 37, and Anthony Limon ,44, were apprehended shortly after the theft incident through a successful traffic stop conducted by the patrol deputies.
During their contact with Jayme Fahy, deputies discovered that she was operating under a false identity, and using a fraudulent identification card with a different name but her own picture while in possession of “illegal narcotics and paraphernalia.” The immediately ensuing search of Fahy’s vehicle led to the discovery of multiple credit cards, driver’s licenses, and medication, “all registered under the names of individuals residing in Bakersfield and Fountain Valley.” A “substantial quantity” of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, including Fentanyl, methamphetamine, various pills, a glass pipe, and a drug scale, were also found in the vehicle, along with a handicap placard that had been stolen during a residential burglary in Bakersfield two days prior.
Limon, identified by witnesses as the primary perpetrator in the theft incident at the Camarillo cosmetics retailer, was found to be in possession of stolen property valued at over $1000 as well as “illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.”
Fahy and Limon were taken into custody and transported to Ventura County Jail where they were booked on charges of commercial burglary, theft, and possession of controlled substances for sales. Fahy remains in custody with her bail set at $50,000; Limon remains in custody with his bail set at $20,000.
