“On Sunday evening, FPD Patrol Officers responded to Walmart for the report of an armed robbery. The victim stated three subjects followed him to the parking lot where they then held him at gun point and demanded that he hand over his money.
Officers were able to obtain surveillance video from the store, and a vehicle description. Utilizing city traffic cameras, officers confirmed the license plate for the suspect vehicle.
Detectives from our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) identified all three suspects from the surveillance video, and a Be On The Lookout (BOLO) was sent to Officers.
On Tuesday afternoon, Officers from our Community Crime Suppression Unit (CCSU) located the vehicle and detained the occupants. It was quickly learned that the remainder of the suspects were staying at a home in the 100 block of Witmer Drive.
SIU Detectives authored a search warrant and with the assistance of our SWAT team, the warrant was served at the residence. All three suspects were taken into custody. Detectives also recovered all of the clothing worn by the suspects, along with the firearms used during the robbery. The firearms were determined to be replica airsoft guns.
Mathew Davis, 20 of Fair Oaks, Anthony Wilson, 20 of Vallejo, and Kendell Frye, 20 of Folsom, were all booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail on Robbery and Conspiracy charges.”
