“Last night, officers observed a suspicious vehicle driving in the vicinity of Lochinvar and Bing but were unable to immediately stop the vehicle. Later, they discovered the abandoned vehicle nearby and upon inspection, they found methamphetamine and pills inside. A thorough search of the abandoned vehicle revealed 9mm ammunition, evidence indicating narcotics sales, and a driver’s ID. A female suspect was identified as being the driver.
Officers contacted the vehicle’s owner and confirmed that it had been stolen. The suspect’s boyfriend approached officers while they were searching the vehicle and provided a false name, attempting to conceal the fact that he was on probation. Subsequently, he was arrested for a narcotics offense.
Special Enforcement Team (SET) detectives were called in to assist with a probation compliance check at the suspect’s residence. The search yielded personal identification materials, narcotics, paraphernalia, and a 9mm ghost gun. The female suspect remains at large.
It’s always a good day when illegal guns and narcotics are taken off of our streets.”
