Second Suspect, 16, Arrested in Connection with Murder of Ivanhoe Man

“TCSO Homicide Detectives have arrested a second suspect in the murder of an Ivanhoe man last week.
Around 5:15 p.m. on 7/24/23, TCSO Deputies were called to a shooting in the area of Ave 327/Rd 158 in Ivanhoe. When they arrived, Deputies found 34-year-old Antonio Tapia Jr lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide Detectives served warrants in Ivanhoe and identified 23-year-old Ismar Ambriz as a suspect in the murder and arrested him last Thursday.
On 7/31/23, Detectives identified a a 16-year-old Ivanhoe boy as the second suspect in the murder. He was arrested and booked at the Juvenile Detention facility on murder charges.
