Two Arrested on Various Charges Following Traffic Stop in Calaveras County

Two people were reportedly arrested on a variety of charges, including narcotics and weapons charges, following a traffic stop in Calaveras County.
According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling along Saint Charles Street in San Andreas around 1 AM on Friday, July 28. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Mario Berumen-Rose, a 36-year-old resident of Auburn. During the traffic stop, it was revealed that Berumen-Rose had an outstanding felony warrant.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies reportedly discovered a firearm, illegal narcotics, and drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. Both the driver, Mario Berumen-Rose, and the passenger, Amy Ronnigen (46) of Cool, are prohibited from possessing firearms, the Sheriff’s Office said.
As a result of these findings, both individuals were arrested. Mario Berumen-Rose was booked into the Calaveras County jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a controlled substance while armed, and illegally possessing ammunition.
Amy Ronnigen was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of ammunition while prohibited, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The case remains under active investigation.
