San Jose Man Arrested in Connection with Double Murder

A San Jose man has been arrested as the primary suspect in a recent double murder.
According to a press release by the San Jose Police Department, officers responded to a welfare check at the 1600 block of Parkmoor Avenue late in the morning on August 4. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult female and a juvenile male, both suffering from at least one stab wound each. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
The SJPD Homicide Unit Detectives began an investigation and soon identified the suspect as 27-year-old Nathan Addison of San Jose. On August 23, patrol officers located Addison and apprehended him within the San Jose city limits. He was booked at the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of homicide.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. The incident marked the 23rd and 24th homicides in San Jose for the year 2023, police said.

It was unclear at press time whether Addison had retained an attorney.
All persons arrested on suspicion of a crime are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
