The officer contacted the suspicious person and assisted the person to the Chevron Gas Station to get gas for his vehicle, which was parked on Highway 124. The officer asked the person if he wanted a ride back to his vehicle, but he declined, which raised the question of why not.
The officer located the vehicle, and he found out the vehicle was stolen out of the City of Folsom. The officer returned to the Chevron Gas Station and arrested the person. The person attempted to escape from the officer but was captured shortly after running away. The officer contacted Folsom PD who had charges against the person for robbery and vehicle theft. The suspect was booked into the Amador County Jail for vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and resisting arrest.”
