“Yesterday morning officers were notified by our #Dispatchers, using #Flock, about a stolen vehicle in the area of Murrieta Hot Springs Road. Officers responded to the area and located the stolen truck in a nearby shopping center.
As officers arrived on scene the occupants exited the vehicle #ActCasual and attempted to walk away. One of the male occupants was detained in the store while Riverside County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit eye in the sky #Star9 assisted officers on the ground with locating the female.
Inside of the vehicle officers located a shaved key used to start the stolen truck.
The male, who was currently out on #Bail for auto theft and assault with a deadly weapon, was again arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, burglary tools, and committing a felony while out on bail.
The female had an active felony warrant out of San Diego County for, you guessed it, vehicle theft and drug charges. Both the male and female were arrested and booked into the #ByrdHouse.”
