Late-Night Domestic Dispute Leads to Gunfire Scare in Beaumont
An alleged domestic dispute that initially appeared to be a verbal altercation between family members escalated into a firearm scare in the neighborhood of Willow Court on Monday, September 4. Law enforcement was called to the scene twice within the span of an hour.
At approximately 11:23 PM, dispatch received an initial call reporting a domestic dispute unfolding on the 700 block of Willow Court. Responding officers assessed the situation and determined that, at that point, the dispute appeared to be limited to verbal exchanges among family members. After ensuring the safety of those involved, officers left the location.
Approximately an hour after the initial call, multiple neighbors began reporting gunfire echoing through the same area. Law enforcement returned to the neighborhood as additional rounds of gunfire were heard.
For safety, officers evacuated nearby residences to safeguard residents from potential harm. At that point, the primary suspect in the incident emerged from a garage on the property, coming into contact with law enforcement officers.
With a meticulous approach, officers also engaged with several neighbors, confirming their safety and ensuring their homes remained unscathed by the gunfire scare. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage were reported.

The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Steven Roman Dominguez, was taken into custody and now faces charges related to the negligent discharge of a firearm.
