NOVATO — Three persons were placed under arrest at Bay Vista at Meadow Park apartments after residents reported mail theft in-progress. They are being held at Marin County Jail in lieu of $110,000 bond each.
A vehicle matching the description of the one used by the suspects was stopped near 5 Hutchins Way. Officers responded September 12th at approximately 2 a.m. Officers then searched the vehicle and a large amount of mail inside the vehicle, addressed to residents of Novato. Moreover, two of the suspects had U.S. Postal Service mailbox keys.
The Officers then placed three suspects, 35-year-old Ramon Keo and 42-year-old Analilia Acosta under arrest. The third suspect taken into custody is Mary Elizabeth Conde, 28, of Sacramento.
Novato police and U.S. Postal Inspection Service are conducting a joint investigation. The suspects were booked on open charges, and two of them were also booked for warrants in another jurisdiction.
Keo faces charges for possession of the identification of 10 or more persons, burglary, and conspiracy to commit crime.
Acosta faces charges for possession of identification of 10 or more persons, and impersonation to make another liable. She faces additional charges for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy to commit crime.
Acosta was booked also for outstanding warrants for possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, petty theft, among other offenses.
Condes was booked for possession of identification of 10 or more persons and impersonation to make another liable. She faces additional charges for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy to commit crime. She also faces charges for violation of parole in another jurisdiction.
