Five people have reportedly been arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery at a gas station in Stockton earlier this month.
According to a press release by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call reporting a strong-arm robbery at the Shell gas station on Waterloo Road in Stockton on the late evening of Saturday, September 16. The victim was subjected to physical assault by men who then proceed to steal various items of jewelry, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office began investigating the incident and soon gathered descriptions of the suspects. By the following day, authorities had identified a potential suspect who was under searchable probation related to firearms.
Deputies soon thereafter conducted a probation search at the individual’s residence, which reportedly lead to the recovery of the stolen items and the apprehension of five individuals. Deputies ultimately arrested Elpidio Martinez Serrano (27), Richard Molina (23), Noheli Santoyogarcia (22), Antonio Wolfe (25), and Alaeya Mena (25) on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit a crime, and possession of stolen property.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and information related to the case.
It was unclear at press time whether any of the arrested individuals had retained attorneys. All persons arrested on suspicion of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
