“A community member called to report that the occupants of two cars were possibly involved in drug activity.
Officers contacted a man and a woman in their cars and discovered both had prior arrests after a records check. Officers Teyechea and Martin searched the woman’s car and found various drugs inside.
They then searched the man’s car and discovered a large quantity of fraudulent driver’s licenses, passports, and IDs, as well as falsified paystubs, paychecks, DMV paperwork, and tax paperwork that did not belong to him. A credit card reader, templates to make credit cards, printers, multiple laptops, and a book of receipts were also discovered.
Officers Teyechea and Martin conducted a thorough investigation of all the property found inside the car and have identified over 45 potential victims of identity theft. Thanks to the officer’s meticulous investigation, the male was arrested on numerous fraud-related charges, while the woman was arrested on drug-related charges.”
