Man Arrested for Allegedly Smuggling Narcotics into Jail for Incarcerated Wife

“On September 20, 2023, Correctional Officers conducted routine cell searches and located Methamphetamine in inmate Angela Escobar’s cell. During the investigation, it was determined that the narcotics were being smuggled in by inmate Crystal Garner’s husband, Renne Baca.

On October 02, 2023, detectives contacted and arrested Renne Baca for his involvement. Baca was booked on charges of bringing a controlled substance into jail and for conspiracy to commit a crime. Inmate Angela Escobar received an added charge of possession of a controlled substance in jail.

Inmate Angela Escobar and Inmate Crystal Garner received added charges of bringing a controlled substance into jail and conspiracy to commit a crime.”
