A Placer County woman was reportedly arrested on narcotics charges after drugs and paraphernalia were found in her vehicle during a traffic stop.
According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Athens Avenue on the outskirts of Lincoln at around 1:30 AM on Tuesday, October 3. While speaking with the driver, the deputy allegedly saw a suspected methamphetamine pipe in plain view. This prompted a more detailed search, which reportedly resulted in the discovery of over 37 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $360 in cash.
K-9 Deputy Ronin was then brought to the scene and signaled the presence of a firearm and ammunition stored in the vehicle’s center console, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The driver, identified as Cassandra Mae Johnson, 37, was arrested on suspicion of possession and transportation of a controlled substance with intent to sell, operating a vehicle under the influence, and carrying a concealed weapon inside a vehicle. The case is currently under investigation.
