Recent Law Enforcement Activity by Downtown Entertainment District Team, Riverside
Over the weekend, officers from the Downtown Entertainment District (DED) Team in Riverside were involved in an operation that led to arrests related to firearms and narcotics violations.
During a traffic stop on Saturday night, officers discovered that the driver had recently been placed on probation for possessing a concealed weapon. A search of the vehicle revealed that both the male driver and the female passenger were in possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia.
Following this discovery, the officers proceeded to the probationer’s residence in Rubidoux, where they conducted a probation search. This search uncovered a rifle, shotgun, two handguns, several hundred rounds of ammunition, and other accessories that are prohibited for individuals on probation.
As a result of these findings, 46-year-old Michael Thompson and 45-year-old Adrine Ruiz-Thompson were arrested on various charges related to weapons and narcotics violations. Additionally, Michael Thompson faced a violation of probation charge. Both individuals have been booked into jail and are currently being held on $50,000 bail.
