San Mateo Police Track, Recover Stolen Motorcycles; Two Arrested

Two people were recently arrested in San Mateo County after police traced a tracking device a man had been placed on one of his two stolen motorcycles.
According to a press release by the San Mateo Police Department, police received a report of the theft of two motorcycles from a gated parking garage located on the 400 block of East Hillsdale Boulevard on the morning of October 21. The victim of the theft had placed a tracking device on one of the motorcycles and provided video surveillance footage, which revealed a red Toyota Tacoma truck arriving at the apartment complex and leaving with the motorcycles.
Law enforcement officers, aided by the tracking device, traced the stolen motorcycles to the 1300 block of Veterans Boulevard in South San Francisco. With the assistance of the South San Francisco Police Department, officers successfully apprehended two suspects, identified as Matthew McGettigan and Floyd Cooper, at the location.
The stolen motorcycles, along with the red Toyota Tacoma truck used in the theft, were also recovered.
Following their arrest, McGettigan and Cooper were booked into San Mateo County jail. The stolen motorcycles were returned to the victim.
