“Three Central District Station officers were recently recognized for their bravery and professionalism when responding to a domestic terror threat that occurred on October 29, 2023.
Congratulations to Officer Sam Yuen, Officer Bryan Neurburg, and Officer Juan Lara on their commendations. Their quick response and coordinated efforts led to the arrest of 42-year-old Concord resident, Daniel Garcia who was charged with several serious offenses after leading law enforcement on a lengthy pursuit to Martinez, CA. At one point during the pursuit, Garcia threw two improvised explosives out of his car window toward our officers.
These officers exemplify the very best of our department and we’re proud to recognize them. Thank you for your service to our city.”
