“San Francisco Police Department General Work and Burglary investigators, patrol officers, and members of the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office Warrant Service Unit have arrested four prolific Organized Retail Crime (ORC) suspects. Investigators diligently reviewed over a dozen retail-related incidents, some of which involved violence and injury to store employees, and developed probable cause to arrest the suspects for the theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise.
Savannah Church, a 24-year-old female, was arrested for ten crimes in the retail businesses listed below. Church was mentioned in a prior news release on September 28, 2023 (23-120).
- April 23, 2023, on the 3200 block of 20th Ave., over $3,400 worth of merchandise stolen with two other suspects. Inc# 230282325
- May 19, 2023, on the unit block of Powell St., over $6,600 worth of merchandise stolen with six other suspects. 3 juveniles suspects were also arrested. Inc# 230346545
- June 10, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $1,000 worth of merchandise in a robbery with three other suspects. Inc# 230400107
- July 20, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $5,700 worth of merchandise stolen with three other suspects. Inc# 236156227
- August 17, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $6,600 worth of merchandise stolen with three other suspects. Inc# 230400107
- August 21, 2023, on the 2400 block of San Bruno Ave., over $2,200 worth of merchandise with eight other suspects. Inc# 236162810
- August 22, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $1,800 worth of merchandise stolen in a robbery with two other suspects where a suspect pushed and injured a store employee. Inc# 230598984
- August 24, 2023, on the 1100 block of Potrero Ave., over $3,600 worth of merchandise stolen with four other suspects. Inc# 236163777
- August 30, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $4,400 worth of merchandise stolen with four other suspects. Inc# 236181105
- September 4, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $8,300 worth of merchandise with two other suspects. Inc# 236181462
Shalia Brown, a 24-year-old female, was arrested for 3 crimes in the retail businesses listed below.
- October 1, 2023, on the 400 block of Haight St., over $600 worth of merchandise in a robbery with seven other suspects. Brown was identified as a suspect who allegedly assaulted an employee with a device that shoots gel pellets causing serious injury. Inc# 230705838
- October 3, 2023, on the 2400 block of San Bruno Ave., over $2,300 worth of merchandise in a robbery with 4 other suspects where Brown allegedly brandished a weapon at an employee. Inc# 230711261
- October 11, 2023, on the 900 block of Geneva Ave., over $1,500 worth of merchandise stolen with eight other suspects. 5 other adults and juveniles were also arrested. Inc# 230731429
Erykah Thomas, a 20-year-old female, and Emoni Thomas, a 20-year-old male, were arrested for 5 crimes in the retail businesses listed below. They were both mentioned in a prior news release on August 14, 2023 (23-104).
- June 10, 2023, on the 400 block of Mission St., over $1,000 worth of merchandise in a robbery with Savannah Church and two other suspects. Inc# 230400107
- August 10, 2023, on the 2000 block of Fillmore St., over $1,000 worth of merchandise in a theft with seven other suspects. Inc# 230565353
- August 21, 2023, on the 2400 block of San Bruno Ave., over $2,200 worth of merchandise with Savannah Church and six other suspects. Inc# 236162810
- October 1, 2023, on the 400 block of Haight St., over $600 worth of merchandise in a robbery with Brown and five other suspects where Emoni Thomas allegedly assaulted an employee causing serious injury. Inc# 230705838
- October 3, 2023, on the 2400 block of San Bruno Ave., over $2,300 worth of merchandise in a robbery with Brown and two other suspects. Inc# 230711261
Investigators have arrested Church, Brown, Erykah Thomas, and Emoni Thomas for assorted felony charges of 245(a)(4) PC (aggravated assault), 243(d) PC (battery causing serious injuries), 211 PC (robbery), 490.4(a)(1) PC (acting with one or more person to steal merchandise), 487(a) PC (grand theft), 459 PC 2nd (burglary), and 12022.1 PC (committing a crime while out on bail for another offense).
