Wasco Man Arrested for Alleged DUI, Possession of Narcotics and Loaded Gun

Shafter police recently arrested a man for allegedly driving under the influence, which reportedly led to the discovery of narcotics and weapons in his vehicle.
According to a press release by the Shafter Police Department, officers from the Shafter Police Department responded to a report of an individual driving a vehicle while under the influence in the area of Fresno Avenue and Cherry Avenue on the night of November 26.
Officers reportedly observed a vehicle with its emergency hazard lights activated and conducted an investigative traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Juan Manuel Bravo, 34, of Wasco.
Following their interaction with Bravo, officers determined that he was operating the vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, leading to his arrest.
Officers determined that Bravo had been driving while under the influence of a controlled substance and placed him under arrest. They then searched Bravo’s vehicle and allegedly discovered about an ounce of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, and a loaded handgun.
Due to his status as a convicted felon, Bravo is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
In addition to driving under the influence, Bravo also faces other charges related to alleged gang activity, narcotics, and firearms. He was booked at the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Justice Receiving Facility, with his bail set at $360,000.
