Authorities in Sonoma County recently arrested a man in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged fraudulent credit card use. The suspect has reportedly also been linked to other investigations into similar crimes.

According to a press release, Rohnert Park police arrested Antonio Kronidis, 64, after allegedly catching him in possession of over 40 fraudulent debit cards and $3,000 in cash. Officers had responded to the 200 block of Rohnert Park Expressway to investigate a report of fraudulent credit card use and pulled Kronidis over in his vehicle.

He was ultimately arrested on suspicion of fraudulent use of an access card, identity theft, grand theft, and conspiracy.

Kronidis has also been identified as a suspect in “over a dozen” investigations into fraudulent transactions throughout the state. After the arrest, other law enforcement agencies began reaching out regarding their own investigations involving Kronidis, police said.

As of December 14, Kronidis has been formally charged with a total of three felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, two felony counts of access card forgery, two felony counts of identity theft, and one felony count of burglary.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information relevant to the case is encouraged to contact Detective Ramirez of the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety at 707-588-3597. The case number is 23-4247.
