Shasta County Man Allegedly Caught with Narcotics During Probation Compliance Check
A Shasta County man was recently arrested after allegedly being caught with narcotics during a probation compliance check.
According to a press release by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, the office’s AB109 Team carried out an operation on Thursday, December 21, in the Burney and Intermountain area. The operation focused on conducting probation and compliance checks for individuals under active probation, Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS), or Mandatory Supervision.
During the operation, law enforcement officers contacted Christopher Clark, 41, who is currently under both Post-Release Community Supervision and probation out of Shasta County. Deputies conducted a search of his residence and reportedly discovered about 10 ounces of methamphetamine and evidence suggesting the distribution of methamphetamine.
Clark was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sales, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, attempting to conceal or destroy evidence, violation of PRCS, and violation of probation.
It was unclear at press time whether Clark had retained an attorney. Any person arrested on suspicion of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
