“Earlier this week we were notified of a suspicious object located off of Robbers Ravine Rd in Colfax. The object resembled a pressure cooker with wires coming from it. Patrol deputies quickly evacuated the area, and our EOD team was able to determine that it was in fact an improvised explosive device.
The team was able to utilize all of their equipment in order to render the device safe. All evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is still ongoing. Thanks to the quick response of patrol deputies and our EOD team no one was injured from this potentially deadly device.”
