“This evening at approximately 6:28 pm, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2200 block of Knollwood Drive, Cameron Park. Deputies arrived to the area and located the vehicle. The vehicle was a white 2023 Nissan Titan, Texas license plate STX3791. Deputies contacted the driver, a solo occupant of the truck, who was identified as Deondre Kamena Bottoms, 31 years of age. It was determined that Bottoms had an active felony warrant for his arrest.
During the course of the incident, Bottoms accelerated his vehicle dragging one of the Deputies and causing him to be thrown several feet to the ground. The vehicle also struck another Deputy causing him to fall to the ground causing injury. As Bottoms fled from the scene, his vehicle struck several vehicles causing additional vehicle and property damage. Bottoms fled the scene and is currently outstanding.
The two Deputies who were struck by the vehicle were taken to an area hospital where they are in stable condition.
At this time, Deondre Kamena Bottoms, 31 years old, is a person of interest in this incident. The vehicle associated with this incident is a 2023 white quad cab Nissan Titan with Texas license plate STX3791. The truck has body damage to the rear passenger door. **Not the actual truck in attached photo**

At 00:45 am Bottoms was taken into custody without incident in the 7600 block of Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights.
Both Deputies have also been released from the hospital and will be recovering at home.
