Homicide Investigation Leads to arrest of Suspect

On the evening of December 20, 2023, at approximately 8 pm, deputies from the local sheriff’s department responded to the report of a potential body on the ground in the vicinity of Industrial Way and Cyber Ct. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies confirmed the discovery of the lifeless body of a middle-aged male.
Promptly initiating an investigation into what appeared to be a homicide, Crimes Against Persons Detectives took charge of the situation. Over the following twenty-four hours, detectives diligently pursued leads, resulting in the identification of a suspect. The individual was later named as 48-year-old Fernando Jimenez.
Following the conclusion of the investigation, detectives took swift action and booked Jimenez into the Auburn jail on charges of 187(A) PC, which pertains to homicide. The efficient collaboration between patrol deputies and detectives played a crucial role in resolving the case and apprehending the suspect.
