Three Arrested for Alleged Assault, Kidnapping, and Armed Robbery in Trinity County

“On December 18, 2023 at approximately 6:40 PM, a Robbery was reported at a residence off of State Route 3, in the area of Weaverville, CA.
Those involved reported that a Caucasian male adult, a Hispanic male adult, and an African American male adult, contacted the victim at their residence and indicated that their vehicle was out of fuel. When the victim offered assistance, they assaulted the victim, threatened the victim and their family members, and tied the victim up.
The suspects then placed the victim into the bed of a pickup and traveled to the victim’s storage unit, where it was reported that the suspects stole United States Currency from the storage unit.
After the suspects had obtained the United States Currency, they left the victim at the location and fled in their vehicle, eastbound on State Route 299. The vehicle was reported to be a white or silver pick-up, potentially a Toyota or a Chevrolet.
Although this matter remains under investigation, it does appear that the suspects have left the area and that there is no current threat to the public. If anyone has information regarding this matter, please contact the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office at 530-623-2611.
