The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one individual and is seeking the arrest of another in connection with fatal shooting in 2021. The Sheriff’s Office had been investigating the murder of Adolfo “Junior” Davila Jr.

Davila was fatally shot during an argument in Hollister on April 5, 2021.

According to a press release, multiple law enforcement agencies — the Sheriff’s Office, the San Benito County Probation Department, the Ceres Police Department, and the Modesto Police Department — coordinated to execute a high-risk search warrant at a residence on the 100 block of Orangeburg Avenue in Modesto.

During the search, authorities seized multiple items of evidence as well as a firearm. Investigators also arrested 28-year-old Rebecca Nunez as an alleged accessory to Davila’s murder.

Meanwhile, the FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Alfredo Antonio Arredondo, 33, who has been identified as the primary suspect in Davila’s murder. Arredondo is described as an individual of white and Hispanic ethnicity, standing approximately 5-foot-4 and weighing between 140 and 145 pounds.

Arredondo was formally charged with the murder on June 7, 2021, and a state warrant was issued for his arrest.
