Redding Parents Arrested after Child Abuse Video Appears on Social Media

“On January 4, 2023, Redding Police Officers were made aware of a video circulating on social media. The video depicted a woman repeatedly hitting a young child as someone else filmed it.
It was determined the woman and the child in the video were mother and son, and that the video was being recorded by the father of the child.
Officers conducted an investigation and located the child and his siblings, who are all now safe. The parents, Frank LAMONT, 39 years of Redding, California, and Sabrina LAMONT, 29 years of Redding, California, were arrested.
Both were charged with Felony Child Abuse and Felony Child Endangerment. Additionally, Frank LAMONT was charged with Obstructing the investigation. Both were booked at the Shasta County Jail.”
