“Early Thursday morning, Officer Peck spotted a car without plates at a gas station on Santa Rosa. Officer Peck found the car had a temporary plate but that turned out to be fake, and the car turned out to be reported stolen out of Colorado. The driver, Justin Lawson, who is a convicted felon, had a warrant out of CO and was found to be in possession of a concealed handgun with an obliterated serial number, ammunition, a variety of documents that did not belong to him and photocopied money. Lawson was arrested and remains in custody without bail on the following charges:

  • PC30305(A)(1) – Unlawful Possession Of Ammunition
  • PC23900 – Obliterating the Identification of a Firearm

  • PC 25400(A)(1) – Carrying A Conceal Firearm in Vehicle
  • PC 1551.1 Fugitive Arrest
