According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of burglary and assault with a deadly weapon on the 3000 block of Burson Road in the early morning ours of January 1. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victim, who was house-sitting for family members, had heard running noises outside the residence. The victim reportedly confronted the intruder and instructed him to leave the property.
