Corona Police Arrest Felon with Methamphetamine and Unregistered Firearm during Traffic Stop

“On December January 13th, 2024 at 1:05 AM, A Corona Police detective conducted a stop of a silver Toyota Tacoma for a traffic violation in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street. A records check of the front passenger revealed he was currently on probation for two separate theft cases. The occupants were told to exit the vehicle so a probation search could be conducted.
The driver, David Galindo (33 years of Corona) exited the truck holding a bag containing fourteen grams of methamphetamine. Galindo also had a loaded gun magazine in his pants pocket and a baggie containing two grams of methamphetamine in his shoe.
An unregistered loaded handgun was also located behind the driver’s seat and a digital scale was located near the driver’s seat. Galindo is a convicted felon for possession of stolen property and prohibited from possessing firearms. He was arrested for multiple narcotics and firearms charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics for sales.
