“Officer Romias conducted a vehicle check early this morning in the 1500 block of E. Yosemite Ave. After contacting the occupants inside, he found the vehicle was reported stolen out of Merced County. Both occupants, Elizabeth Brock and Johnny Gutierrez, were taken into custody as a result of this incident and later booked into Madera County Jail. Elizabeth is charged with possession of the stolen vehicle. Johnny was booked for a felony no bail warrant due to a parole violation. We are proud of the proactive work our officers put forth every night to solve crime. Those efforts are always rewarding with end results like today in recovering a victims stolen property.”
