One Arrested, Two Sought by Fresno Police in Connection with 2021 Murder of Zachary Xayavong

Fresno police have reportedly arrested the primary suspect in the murder of Zachary Xayavong in 2021. Two other suspects identified in connection with the case are still at large.
According to a press release, Fresno Police have arrested 25-year-old Gabriel Flores in connection with the murder, which occurred late on the night of Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Rotary Park on Cedar and Sierra Avenues.
On that night, police had responded to reports of a vehicle colliding with a concrete wall. At the scene, officers discovered 17-year-old Zachary Xayavong inside the vehicle. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area medical center for emergency treatment, but died of his injuries a few days later on July 5.
In addition to identifying Flores as the primary suspect, investigators reportedly also identified two others in connection with the murder: Noel Pina Leon, 20, and Israel Luna, 30.
Both Leon and Luna are still at large, and have warrants out for their arrests on suspicion of murder. Anyone with information regarding their potential whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Fresno Police Department or Valley Crime Stoppers.
