San Joaquin County Task Force Breaks Up Sideshows, Seizes 88 Vehicles

On February 3, 2024, the San Joaquin County Sideshow Taskforce conducted a mission related to intel showing a sideshow event was to occur over the weekend in Stockton and Sacramento, CA. The task force was able to infiltrate the group and gain information on the intended location where they planned to begin their sideshow activity. This location being Country Club Blvd and Pershing Ave. The task force observed several hundred people and vehicles block the roadway, and a red truck begin driving recklessly in the intersection. The task force rapidly contained the intersection and stabilized the scene.
Over 150 individuals were detained, identified, processed and released pending filing of criminal charges with the District Attorney. All the vehicles on scene and those used to facilitate the blocking of the intersection were seized. Numerous vehicles have already been found to contain controlled substances and loaded illegal firearms. Three individuals were booked at the San Joaquin County Jail for charges that include resisting arrest and fleeing in vehicles. One subject was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after he struck a law enforcement vehicle while fleeing the scene. Another officer was struck by a fleeing vehicle but luckily sustained only minor injury.
A total of 88 cars were seized to be held for an undetermined amount of time while this case is being investigated.
