MILL VALLEY —A Marin County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested a winery worker found in possession of a firearm and cannabis for sale. Joshua E. Hall, 41, of San Rafael, was arrested near the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley.

Hall attracted attention to himself while driving a vehicle with a missing license plate. A deputy on patrol conducted a traffic stop outside 555 Redwood Highway. Hall was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.

Turns out Hall is on probation in Marin County and wanted in Sonoma County for probation violation. A search of his vehicle turned up a loaded handgun with a high-capacity magazine.
Hall has been in custody at Marin County Jail since his arrest on February 12. He is on hold for an outstanding warrant from Sonoma County for violation of probation.

He faces open charges in Marin County, which include felon/addict in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed unregistered firearm. He is also being held for an outstanding bench warrant related to a prior DUI arrest

The search also turned up a large quantity of processed marijuana and cannabis concentrate evidently packaged for sale. Hall was also carrying a large amount of cash, a scale, and small bags. For this, he was booked for possession and transportation of marijuana/hashish for sale.

Hall has been arrested 17 times since 2014. These include arrests for hit and run, assault, and battery. He has ten prior arrests for DUIs and driving with a suspended license.
