“On Tuesday February 20, 2024, deputies were made aware of a sexual assault that occurred in our jurisdiction. After further investigation, detectives arrested Santa Cruz resident, 58-year-old Dagoberto Garcia, on February 22nd. He is facing charges including 261(A)(3) (Rape of an intoxicated woman), PC 289(e) (Sexual Penetration of intoxicated person), and PC 287(i) (Oral copulation).
Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation and are currently seeking additional victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact our non-emergency dispatch at 831-471-1121.”
