Burbank Police Arrest Three in Connection with Multiple Armed Robberies
The Burbank Police Department has announced that three suspects have been apprehended in connection with multiple armed robberies, some of which occurred in Burbank.
According to a police press release, an armed individual entered a 7-Eleven store on West Burbank Boulevard on February 2, allegedly brandished a handgun at the clerk, and demanded access to the cash register. The individual took an undisclosed amount of cash and the clerk’s wallet, then left the store.
A second robbery occurred on February 8 at a different 7-Eleven location on North Hollywood Way, this time involving two suspects who allegedly brandished a handgun and stole cash from the registers. Once again, the suspects also allegedly took the clerk’s wallet.
Burbank detectives identified the suspects’ vehicle and soon connected them to additional armed robberies across Los Angeles and Orange counties. On February 13, with assistance from a police helicopter, detectives surveilled the suspect vehicle. Authorities followed the vehicle to Downey and ultimately intervened as the suspects were about to rob a local donut shop.
Authorities stopped the suspects in West Los Angeles near Arlington Avenue and Pico Boulevard soon afterward and took them into custody. At the time of their arrests, the suspects were wearing distinct clothing and in possession of the same handgun used in prior robberies, police said.
The suspects have been identified as 48-year-old Abigail Luckey of Los Angeles, 34-year-old Antonio Bland of Lancaster, and 22-year-old Ronnie Tucker of Long Beach.
Charges filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reportedly include five counts of robbery against Bland and Tucker, as well as one count of attempted robbery against Bland, Tucker, and Luckey.
