“On 02-25-2024, at about 7:30 PM a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Corning area for a vehicle code violation. The deputy contacted the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Shain Shirley, age 53, of Corning. Mr. Shirley was found to be driving on a suspended driver license and had several misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.
The deputy developed probable cause to conduct a search of Mr. Shirley and his vehicle. With the help of K9 Blaze, we located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a loaded .38 caliber pistol, and several rounds of ammunition.
A records check of Mr. Shirley’s criminal history revealed Mr. Shirley is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. Mr. Shirley was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail on several new felony charges and his outstanding warrants.”
