Tuolumne County Man on PRCS Allegedly Caught with Knife, Drugs Outside Sonora Business
“41-year-old Tremaine Dwayne Williams, a Sonora transient, was arrested on Thursday for carrying a concealed dirk/dagger and for possession of suspected Methamphetamine.
At around 3:40 pm on February 22nd, postal employees called the Police Department to report a male subject loitering about the business, holding a knife and messing with the blue collection box.
Officers arrived on the scene and identified Williams from prior contacts. A witness told officers that Williams had concealed the knife in his pant pocket before their arrival. Williams is on PRCS with search terms for drugs and weapons. A search of his person produced a fixed-blade knife and two plastic baggies of Methamphetamine. He was transported to County Jail and booked without incident.
Postrelease Community Supervision (PRCS) is a form of supervision provided to an inmate who has been released from a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institution to the jurisdiction of a county agency.
