BRENTWOOD – Police confiscated firearms and arrested three persons recently in two separate incidents near Lone Tree Way. One of the suspects was in possession of fentanyl, and he remains in custody at the West County Detention Facility.
On March 10, an officer observed a vehicle with multiple vehicle code violations and conducted a traffic stop. Turns out there was a high-capacity firearm on the backseat. Daekaylah L. Little, 19, and Louis E. Quinn, 20, both of Antioch, were arrested.
Little and Quinn were each booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for –
- Carrying a concealed firearm
- Carrying a loaded firearm

On February 29, Brentwood officers observed a vehicle sought for evasion of the police. It was in the vicinity of Lone Tree Way and Highway 4, where a California Highway Patrol attempted
another traffic stop. Again, the vehicle evaded the police.
Shortly afterwards, the vehicle was located abandoned, and residents reported seeing a suspicious person hiding in bushes. A perimeter was set up and officers found 23-year-old Carlos J. Elizalde-Ortiz, of Pittsburg, and arrested him.
Inside Elizalde-Ortiz’s vehicle, police found fentanyl, ammunition and two magazines. The following day a firearm was found nearby. Its location was consistent with the path the suspect took when attempting to flee on foot.
Elizalde-Ortiz is in custody without bond at the West County Detention Facility in Richmond, scheduled for release on March 29. Elizalde-Ortiz was booked for multiple charges including –
- Possession of a narcotic controlled substance
- Felon in possession of drugs and a firearm
- Possession of ammunition
- Probation violation
