Mendocino County Man Arrested for Alleged Domestic Violence Battery

A Mendocino County man was recently arrested for allegedly assaulting his partner.

According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on the evening of March 10 to the 1000 block of McNab Ranch Road in Ukiah, where a 37-year-old woman told them she had called 9-1-1 because of an argument with her partner.

Because deputies did not find any indication of a physical altercation, they reportedly left the location after the woman and her partner, identified as 47-year-old Russell White, agreed to separate for the evening.

Deputies later returned to the area to investigate a report of a physical altercation, and this time observed injuries to the victim that were consistent with physical assault. Deputies also learned that White, who had already fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle prior to deputies’ return, was on probation.

Deputies searched the property on foot and soon found the victim’s vehicle. A short time later, they reportedly found White trying to hide under a building. Deputies arrested White on suspicion of felony domestic violence battery and probation violation.

White was booked at the Mendocino County jail on $27,500 bond.
