“SHOOTING INVESTIGATION UPDATE
Corona PD Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation into a shooting which occurred on 02/05/24 at 2305 Compton Ave., Corona. A search warrant was served at a residence in the city of Long Beach, CA, and a handgun believed to have been used in the crime was located. The suspect, Taumafai Vaafuti (26-years-old of Long Beach) is currently in custody in Colorado. Corona Detectives had previously obtained an arrest warrant for Vaafuti and he was arrested by authorities in Colorado.
Multiple felony charges will be forwarded to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office for filing.”
