Twin Brothers Apprehended for String of Thefts in El Cajon

“Between the dates of January 23, 2024 and February 24, 2024, Ali Ahmed and Shuaib Ahmed, 28-year-old twin brothers, orchestrated five retail thefts at the Ulta Beauty store in El Cajon, making off with merchandise totaling over $3,000. Additionally, on February 24, 2024, the brothers targeted JC Penney in El Cajon, stealing goods valued at $700.
Following a thorough investigation, the El Cajon Police Department apprehended both Ali and Shuaib Ahmed in connection with the theft spree. During Shuaib Ahmed’s arrest, officers discovered he was in possession of drugs intended for distribution. Consequently, the brothers were booked into the San Diego County Jail, facing multiple felony charges, including grand theft and conspiracy. Shuaib Ahmed also faces charges of possession of drugs for sale.
It is worth noting that both Ali and Shuaib Ahmed have extensive arrest records related to theft-related crimes, with Shuaib Ahmed currently on probation for burglary.
