“Last night one of our Officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation on this vehicle. The driver, Daniel Thompson of Grass Valley, initially provided officers with a false name but we weren’t convinced.
He was eventually identified and found to have 6 outstanding bench warrants in Placer, Nevada, and Sacramento Counties for various offenses including felon in possession of a firearm. He was also identified as an outstanding suspect in an identity theft case from one of our allied agencies.
A search of Thompson’s vehicle revealed credit/debit cards, as well as identifying documents belonging to several different people, and narcotics. He was booked at the Placer County Jail with a bail set at $120,000 for his numerous fresh charges, and a no bail on two of his warrants.”
